Pianiste et pédagogue de nationalité américaine
Sondra Bianca commence d'étudier avec sa mère; elle poursuit ensuite ses études auprès de Frank Sheridan (Mannes Music School) et Isabelle Vengerova (Curtis Institue of Music).
Le 1er novembre 1941 elle donne son premier grand concert au Carnegie Hall de New York, avec l'Orchestre Philharmonique de New York sous la direction de Rudolph Ganz (Young People's Concert, 1er mouvement Concerto No. 20, KV 466, de Mozart, voir à droite la reproduction d'une page du programme, citée de cette archive du «Leon Levy Digital Archives» de l'Orchestre Philharmonique de New York).
Parmi ses nombreux concerts, cette page de Wikipedia mentionne deux concerts:
"[...] One of her notable American performances was on January 20, 1955, when she was the guest soloist with the Florida Symphony conducted by Frank Miller. The programme included Andre Bloch's "Concerto No. 1", Liszt's "Concerto in E flat", Glinka's Overture to "Russian and Ludmilla", Handel's "Water Music" and Georges Enesco's "Roumanian Rhapsody No. 1".[...] Another notable performance was the piece Rhapsody 21 for the Century 21 Exposition, conducted by Paul Whiteman. [...]"

Selon cette même page de Wikipedia, plusieurs enregistrements de Sondra Bianca ont aussi été publiés sous plusieurs pseudonymes, dont Albert Cohen, Karl Bernhard, Frederick Antenelli et Suzanne Auber.
Sondra Bianca a cessé très tôt - vers la fin des années 1950 - de donner des concerts, pour - semble-t-il - se dédier à l'enseignement, ainsi que "[...] for many years a producer and performer for Music Minus One, and for Columbia Special Products, a division of CBS Records, where she demonstrated her versatility in producing unique spoken word and pop albums, as well as classical ones [...]", selon David Gideon. Sa vie est restée un peu une énigme, étant donné qu'il est presque impossible de trouver des informations concrètes sur son activité, sur sa vie à partir des années 1960, à l'exception des informations publiées par David Gideon, voir ci-dessous.
Sondra Bianca est restée connue avant tout par ses disques, enregistrés avec - entre autres - Hans-Jurgen Walther, Carl-August Bünte et Walter Goehr.
En 2004 David Gideon - du site www.rediscovery.us - a eu l'occasion de rencontrer Sondra Bianca. Il a rédigé la courte biographie suivante:
"[...] Sondra Bianca, internationally renowned concert pianist, began piano study before she was four, and made her first public appearance at five. Walter Damrosch called her the most gifted child pianist since Josef Hoffman , and Bruno Walter said she was "a big pianist in a little frame". There were many plaudits for her amazing appearances, at ages 11 and 12, with the equally young and gifted Lorin Maazel, today chief conductor of the New York Philharmonic.
Ms Bianca received her musical training at the Mannes School of Music, the Curtis Institute, and from Professor Angela Weschler. She received her B.A. degree in music from Hunter College. In 1950, she won the Carnegie Hall Award for the best instrumental debut of the season. According to a wellknown critic, "She made the music come alive, no matter what she played". In addition to recitals, radio, and television appearances, Ms. Bianca performed with great orchestras in the US, such as the New York Philharmonic and the Philadelphia Orchestra. In Europe she concertized with leading orchestras in major cities, including Paris, London, Florence, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Hamburg and Berlin.
Ms. Bianca recorded a very large and unusual repertoire for MGM Records and many other labels. In addition, she was for many years a producer and performer for Music Minus One, and for Columbia Special Products, a division of CBS Records, where she demonstrated her versatility in producing unique spoken word and pop albums, as well as classical ones. Sondra Bianca is alive and well in New York City, when she's not traveling around the world, and is happily involved in music and theatre, family, and friends.[...]"
